Conservation Biology Reflection Paper: Will We Ever Learn?
The signature assignment for Conservation Biology 1120 was to read the essay The Land Ethic from "A Sand County Almanac, With Essays on Conservation from Round River" by Aldo Leopold, 1949.
Reading the essay was truly an eye opening experience. It was interesting to see that the need for conservation has been a topic of issue for a long time. In order for our world to continue and prosper, humans will need to learn to better cooperate with other species on the earth. Many species have already been destroyed because of human activities. It is well past time that we learn from the past and move forward to create a better future.
